Which photographer's work do you personally prefer? Helena Christensen or Mary Ellen Mark?
~Helena

Do you think Helena Christensen's experience as a model in front of the camera had something to do with her success behind the camera? Explain.
~Yes, she said so, but also being a model gave her the chance to travel and experience the other side of the camera.

What did Mary Ellen Mark mean when she said, "camera companies don't want to know you anymore."
~They just care for the photo not the photographer because so many people can do it now.

Describe a photo you saw in the episode that you felt was an exceptional photo.

~The veiled woman blowing a bubble gave me the vibe of her edginess and sass kind of like a rebellious feeling.

1.) Do you agree with Kevin Bacon’s statement about how musicians are better photography subjects than actors?  Why?
yes, it's more to connect with it gives more emotion to it than most photos. Most people are ignorant tot photography but when they see someone they recognize they can appreciate it better.

2.)Which photographer’s work did you enjoy more?  Bob Gruen or Kevin Bacon?  Why?  What stands out to you?
Gruen's. Seem's as he has more experience and he plays around with different styles and just knows more about what he's doing to his photographs than Bacon.

3.)Describe a photo you saw in the episode that you felt was an exceptional photo.
I really enjoyed the strobed photo I felt like that was orginal and at first I thought it was edited like that but then he explained how it was just a second of exposures worth.

4.)Why do you think Bob Gruen photographed the Clash and Green Day in the same location?
His Clash photo had a lot of publicity but also it is a good scene for a picture in N.Y. not only that but to me it seem's a little patriotic and the city pictures make a band seem more rock, they correlate.
5.)Did you enjoy the episode?  Would you be interested in watching another episode in class?
Yes, we should make it a Friday thing and when we run out of ep. find another show that involves photography/ documentary on the arts.

Niki's multiple picture photo was done very nicely. The lighting was the same in them all and you cant't see anything distorted. The photo seems to have a very deep and touching meaning.

Add's picture is very complimenting to her eyes and hair. The colours of light to dark contrast very well and her quote was very inspiring and had a relatable to me and probably many other people.

Add's flower was for our colour project. Her photos were simple and I like it, I appreciate the clear image. Her colours were very vibrant and beautiful.

My social issue is self expression being restricted and how society sees it as a norm to just hide away your feelings and change yourself, mask who you are. People feel ashamed to show themselves to others and caged by rules and judgement to the general public. We should have to put on a face or a show to be accepted. the brutilitity of the human race is disgusting.
